Self-taught and driven, Jamie Lee Knott transformed his passion for drawing into a thriving career in tattooing. While studying journalism and creative writing at university, he began experimenting with tattoos using only a ballpoint pen on friends, then honed his craft through YouTube tutorials and practised relentlessly.

A year later, Jamie secured his first professional role in a studio and continued to grow, eventually founding what is now Chapters Tattoo Studio in the heart of Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter.

His commitment shines through his philosophy: “Your artwork is what will stop people in their tracks,” and he stresses the importance of fundamentals – colour blends, line weights, consistency, to develop a signature style.
